Care Bears Music Heads to Streaming Through Syntax Creative Partnership

The Care Bears are bringing more of their music to digital platforms through a new partnership between Cloudco Entertainment and Syntax Creative.

The agreement gives Syntax responsibility for expanding the global digital reach of songs associated with the long-running children’s franchise.

Introduced in 1982, Care Bears grew from greeting-card characters into a multimedia brand spanning television, films, toys and consumer products. Music has remained part of that world through animated programs and releases built around the franchise’s familiar themes of empathy, friendship and caring for others.

“Our team is thrilled to join forces with Cloudco Entertainment,” Syntax Creative CEO Timothy J. Trudeau said. “We can’t wait to bring the Care Bears’ message of joy and care to both new and nostalgic audiences around the world.”

The partnership is intended to make the catalog more accessible across digital music services while helping Cloudco connect with both children discovering the characters and adults who grew up with them.

“The charm of the Care Bears and their heartwarming music have a unique way of striking a chord with people from every walk of life,” Cloudco Entertainment Vice President of Marketing Kristeen Tibbits said. “This partnership lets fans take that magic along with them, fitting the Care Bears’ songs into the soundtrack of their lives, wherever they are.”

The catalog includes music from Care Bears: Unlock the Music, an animated series of musical shorts featuring the characters of Care-a-Lot.

Cloudco Entertainment Vice President of Global Distribution Myles Hobbs said the deal gives the company another way to extend the franchise beyond its television and merchandise businesses.

“Music has the power to elevate our mission of spreading joy and care,” Hobbs said. “Partnering with Syntax Creative is a strategic leap toward engaging our audience in new, dynamic ways.”

For Syntax, the agreement adds a globally recognized entertainment property to a distribution roster otherwise built largely around independent labels and artists. For Care Bears, it means fewer songs living only inside episodes and considerably more opportunity to get stuck in a family’s head.
