Syntax Creative has added Qobuz to its digital distribution network, making its catalog available for high-resolution streaming and download worldwide.
The agreement gives Qobuz listeners access to music from more than 150 independent record labels distributed by Syntax Creative. The catalog spans hip-hop, gospel, bluegrass, children’s music and other genres.
“We are so happy to add the Syntax Creative catalog to Qobuz for streaming and download,” Qobuz Managing Director Dan Mackta said. “Syntax has put together an impressive community of labels across multiple genres. We look forward to highlighting them, their artists and their releases for our users around the world.”
Founded in France in 2007, Qobuz focuses on lossless and high-resolution audio. The service offers more than 100 million tracks, including music available in 24-bit quality at resolutions up to 192 kHz. It also operates a digital download store and publishes original editorial content for listeners.
“We’re always looking for partnerships to help highlight the unique music we represent,” Syntax Creative CEO Timothy J. Trudeau said. “Qobuz’s high-fidelity focus gives listeners an experience worthy of the creators behind it.”
The partnership expands the number of streaming and download services available to Syntax Creative’s labels and artists while placing their music before Qobuz’s audience of sound-quality-focused listeners.
