Laura Kaczor has returned to recording after a decade away with “Wrapped in Love,” her first Christmas single.
Available through Upstream Records and New Day Christian Distributors, the song begins a new chapter for the singer-songwriter, worship leader and speaker. Dove Award-winning producer Nick Schwarz produced the recording.
Laura Kaczor Returns After a Decade Away
Kaczor stepped away from recording and touring to focus on her family following the birth of her two children. Before that hiatus, she released four studio albums and placed seven singles in the Billboard Christian Soft AC Top 25.
Her single “Alive in You” spent 11 consecutive weeks inside the chart’s Top 20. However, “Wrapped in Love” is not designed merely to restart that earlier career. Instead, it introduces music shaped by the years that followed it.
Kaczor wrote the new song after Nashville publishing executive Randy Cox suggested its central title. The idea gave her a way to connect the familiar image of a wrapped Christmas gift with the birth of Jesus.
“I’m excited to kick off this new chapter with a joyous anthem for a joy-filled time of year,” Kaczor said.
‘Wrapped in Love’ Looks Beyond the Manger
The song moves from Christ’s birth in Bethlehem to His sacrifice on the cross. In doing so, it treats Christmas as the beginning of the Gospel story rather than an isolated seasonal scene.
Kaczor presents Jesus as the gift of God’s love to a world in need. The upbeat arrangement supports that sense of celebration while keeping the song centered on worship.
“Wrapped in Love” also begins the road toward Kaczor’s fifth full-length album. Upstream Records expects to release the project in 2027.
