Forrest Frank is taking The Jesus Generation beyond the concert stage. A new film documenting the tour and the stories surrounding it is scheduled for release through Lionsgate in 2027.

Frank revealed The Jesus Generation Movie alongside its first trailer. The announcement also extends to music, with a new album titled The Jesus Generation arriving Dec. 4.

‘The Jesus Generation Movie’ Captures the Tour

The film follows a tour that drew large crowds throughout the summer. However, the project appears designed to do more than preserve footage from the performances. Its announcement points toward the people and personal stories behind the nights onstage.

That gives the film a broader subject than Frank alone. The title frames the tour as part of a generation publicly identifying with Jesus, while the documentary format creates room to examine what that meant beyond the arena.

Lionsgate and Kingdom Story Company are partnering on the movie, giving the project a theatrical path beyond a typical concert film. An exact release date and theater information have not yet been announced.

The companion album will arrive before the film. Physical editions of The Jesus Generation are already available for preorder, including standard and tour editions on CD and vinyl.
