Integrity Music will release The Action Bible Remixed internationally May 6, pairing modern worship songs with electronic production inspired by The Action Bible: God’s Redemptive Story.
Producer Victor “Liquid” Oquendo reworked 10 songs for the project. Guest appearances include KJ-52, DJ Maj, Canton Jones, Milton Young, Stefan the Scientist, L.E.D. and Liquid.
The album draws its concept from David C Cook’s The Action Bible, illustrated by comic-book artist Sergio Cariello. Each song connects with a specific passage from the book, and the album packaging includes corresponding page references.
Worship Songs Meet The Action Bible
The track list pulls from songs associated with artists including Rend Collective, Israel Houghton, Martin Smith, Lincoln Brewster, Worship Central and others.
“Build Your Kingdom Here” corresponds with the birth of Jesus, while “Friend of God” connects with the story of Samson. “God’s Great Dance Floor” accompanies the story of Deborah, and “Today Is the Day” points listeners toward the creation account.
Integrity Music Vice President of Sales and Marketing Steve Nicolle said the electronic approach was intended to connect with younger listeners.
“The fresh sound and electronic edge of this CD offers a unique and compelling blend of clear, powerful music for pre-teens and young adults,” Nicolle said.
Catherine DeVries, David C Cook’s associate publisher for children’s resources, described the album as a companion to the illustrated Bible.
