Josh Grove has released “Trust (Psalm 13),” a new single built around one of Scripture’s most direct expressions of frustration and waiting.
The 16-year-old Michigan singer-songwriter drew from Psalm 13, where David repeatedly asks, “How long?” before ending in renewed trust.
Grove follows that same movement in the song. The verses sit with loneliness, unanswered prayer and uncertainty before the chorus turns toward confidence rather than resolution.
“‘Trust (Psalm 13)’ is about choosing faith when life doesn’t make sense,” Grove said. “Even when we don’t see immediate answers, God remains faithful. We can still rejoice because of who He is and what He’s done.”
Eric Haley produced the track, pairing quieter verses with a larger chorus. Grove keeps the tension intact instead of treating lament as something to rush past.

The single also marks a return to the worship side of his catalog after recent releases moved through hip-hop and rock.
Grove signed with NRT Music in 2025. His earlier releases include “Holy Flame,” “A Mighty Thanks,” “Rain or Shine” featuring KJ-52, “New Life” and “Hope.”
“Rain or Shine” reached No. 1 on the Christian Music Weekly CHH/Rhythmic Chart, according to the announcement. Grove has also received recognition from the Unsigned Only Music Awards, American Songwriter Competition and International Songwriting Competition.
He recently signed a publishing administration deal with Kingdom Impact Group.
