Jason Lovins Band Signs With StowTown Records

After releasing 11 albums independently, the Jason Lovins Band has signed its first recording agreement. The Kentucky-based group joins StowTown Records as it prepares a new full-length album for 2027.

The partnership begins with “We’re Letting Hope In,” a pop-country worship song produced by Wayne Haun and Kris Crunk. Blake Walker, Corey Voss, Baily Hager and Harley Rowell wrote the song.

A First Label Deal After 20 Years

The Jason Lovins Band began in 2005 and built its audience without a record label. Its catalog includes the three-volume Songs From Sunday series and two Christmas projects.

That history makes the StowTown agreement unusual. Instead of signing a developing act before its first album, the label is joining an established band as it approaches its 12th.

“I’m not sure anyone has ever signed a record deal on their 12th album,” Jason Lovins said.

Lovins said StowTown did not ask the band to change its musical identity. Instead, the partnership will provide label support while introducing the group’s country, gospel and worship sound to a broader audience.

The signing follows StowTown Records’ move to Syntax Creative for worldwide digital distribution. That agreement brought the label’s catalog and new releases into one distribution system.

‘We’re Letting Hope In’ Starts the New Chapter

“We’re Letting Hope In” centers on deliverance and the decision to receive hope rather than remain bound by the past. Its message also connects with the personal testimony that has shaped Lovins’ ministry and songwriting.

The recording serves as the first preview of the band’s forthcoming StowTown album. The label has not announced the title or release date beyond its planned arrival in 2027.

StowTown Worship Resource also plans to offer chord charts, choral arrangements, tracks and other materials for churches that want to use the song in corporate worship.
