The 2023 Dove Awards nominations are in, and Brandon Lake has given himself plenty of reasons to attend.
Lake leads the 54th Annual GMA Dove Awards with 11 nominations. Songwriter Jeff Pardo follows with eight, while Jason Ingram and Kirk Franklin received six each.
Katy Nichole leads the female artist nominees with four nominations. Lauren Daigle, Naomi Raine and Tasha Cobbs Leonard earned three apiece.
The nominees were selected from 2,046 submissions, which means the final ballot represents a considerable amount of music, paperwork and people politely pretending they were not refreshing the announcement page.
The Artist of the Year category includes Brandon Lake, CeCe Winans, For King & Country, Lauren Daigle and Phil Wickham. New Artist of the Year nominees include Ben Fuller, Hulvey, Jon Reddick, Katy Nichole and Naomi Raine.
Country artists Dylan Scott, Tyler Childers and Walker Hayes also received their first Dove Award nominations.
