Jenn Chenoweth Turns Down the Noise on New Single

Jenn Chenoweth turns down the volume on “Still Small Voice,” a bright pop single about recognizing God outside life’s loudest moments. The song is available now through WieRise Music and begins the road to her second album, expected in 2027.

Chenoweth wrote the song with Brennan Watson, Jonathan Turner and Michaela Halfast. Watson produced the recording with Seth Ready.

‘Still Small Voice’ Returns to Elijah’s Cave

The song draws from 1 Kings 19, where the prophet Elijah encounters wind, an earthquake and fire. However, God ultimately makes His presence known through a quiet voice.

Chenoweth brings that contrast into the present. Fear, noise and pressure may demand attention, but the song argues that intensity is not always evidence of God’s absence or presence.

“God is not only found in moments of great intensity, but also in the quiet whisper,” Chenoweth said.

Instead of building toward a dramatic theological answer, “Still Small Voice” makes listening its central action. Chenoweth presents the quiet encounter as a source of restoration and direction for people who feel frightened, exhausted or ready to give up.

Jenn Chenoweth Begins Her Second Album

“Still Small Voice” is the first release from Chenoweth’s follow-up to her 2025 debut album, Out To Get Me.

That album emerged after a difficult period in her life. Chenoweth was diagnosed with TMJ disorder in 2019 and endured chronic pain, therapies and surgical procedures that threatened her ability to sing. The new song is not presented as a direct account of that experience. Still, its message comes from an artist who learned to separate her identity from her voice and career.

Chenoweth began leading worship at age 9 and later appeared on several recordings with SEU Worship, a 2026 Dove Awards New Artist of the Year nominee.
