615 Hideaway Records and Man-Do-Lin Productions Partner With Syntax Creative

Syntax Creative has entered a distribution and marketing partnership with Nashville-based 615 Hideaway Records and Man-Do-Lin Productions.

The agreement adds two bluegrass labels to the company’s roster. Man-Do-Lin Productions operates under 615 Hideaway and is led by musician and broadcaster Ronnie Reno.

The first releases under the deal are “Red Rover” by Audie Blaylock & Redline and “Goodbye to the Blues” by David Parmley. Both arrive Friday, March 24.

“Syntax Creative is our natural home,” 615 Hideaway CEO Sammy Passamano III said. “They have incredible knowledge and years of experience serving specialized genres such as bluegrass.”

Passamano said the label is building a catalog around artists whose music can endure beyond a single release cycle.

Two Labels With Deep Bluegrass Roots

Passamano represents the third generation of his family to work in the music business.

His grandfather, Sam Passamano I, was an executive at MCA Distribution. His father, Sam Passamano II, owned Rural Rhythm Records from 1987 to 2020.

Passamano founded 615 Hideaway Records in 2019. The label focuses on traditional bluegrass, digital distribution and video production.

Its roster includes Audie Blaylock, David Parmley, Bill Emerson and Rock Hearts.

“He’s not kidding about us being the right fit,” Syntax Creative CEO Timothy Trudeau said. “Unlike many independent artists in niche genres that treat digital as an afterthought, 615 Hideaway actually embraces digital.”

Trudeau said the partnership also gives Man-Do-Lin Productions access to 615 Hideaway’s energy and Syntax Creative’s distribution network.

Man-Do-Lin focuses in part on preserving recordings by important bluegrass and country artists. Its catalog includes music connected to the Reno family, Lester Flatt and Mac Wiseman.

Reno’s career spans six decades. He has worked with the Osborne Brothers, Merle Haggard and Conway Twitty.

He later became known to television audiences through Reno’s Old Time Music.

“We believe that the digital marketplace is ripe for growth,” Passamano said. “There are constant developments and ways to bring new audiences to classic content.”

Syntax Creative will distribute the labels’ catalogs and new releases while supporting their marketing efforts.

The arrangement also gives 615 Hideaway distribution infrastructure for labels operating under its umbrella.

“615 Hideaway Records is tied to a family tradition of music business,” Syntax Creative marketing coordinator Erin Moorman said. “We’re honored to play a role in continuing the Passamano family legacy.”

Red Rover” by Audie Blaylock & Redline and “Goodbye to the Blues” by David Parmley will be available Friday, March 24.
