The Gray Havens and Blue Flower Records Join Syntax Creative

The Gray Havens and Blue Flower Records have entered a distribution and marketing partnership with Syntax Creative.

David Radford, founder of The Gray Havens, also established Blue Flower Records.

The label supports music that does not fit neatly within traditional industry categories. It describes that space as a “sacred middle ground” between faith-centered and mainstream music.

The Gray Havens Prepare for a New Album

The partnership begins as The Gray Havens prepare for a fall headlining tour across more than 30 U.S. cities.

The duo is also releasing music from its fifth full-length album, which is scheduled for 2025.

The Gray Havens have already released “Anywhere” and “Loop Cycle” from the project. The next single, “The Magic,” arrives Friday, Sept. 13.

“We view our partnerships like votaries of a blue flower,” Radford said. “Syntax Creative is a powerful industry partner that shares our passion for music that touches the soul and expands the imagination.”

The Gray Havens have generated more than 120 million streams, according to the announcement.

The group has also sold more than 28,000 concert tickets.

Its music combines narrative folk-pop with lyrics shaped by literature, faith and spiritual longing.

The forthcoming album explores anxiety, grief and spiritual restlessness. It also addresses relationships, intentional living and the movement from sorrow toward what the group calls defiant joy.

“Blue Flower embodies the kind of artistry and innovation that Syntax Creative was created for,” Syntax Creative CEO Timothy Trudeau said. “The Gray Havens have lived on my personal playlists long before we had the honor to be a part of their journey.”

Radford has worked full time in music since 2011. He built The Gray Havens before establishing Blue Flower Records around a broader artistic vision.

The label plans to expand its roster and develop community-focused events and digital platforms.

It also intends to pursue partnerships that broaden its artists’ reach without compromising their creative identity.

The Gray Havens’ fifth album is expected in 2025. “Anywhere,” “Loop Cycle” and “The Magic” are available through major digital platforms.
