TobyMac Gives ‘Speak Life’ a Visual Voice

TobyMac has released the music video for “Speak Life,” turning one of Eye on It’s most direct messages into a visual reminder that words can do damage or bring life.

The song comes from his 2012 album Eye on It, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It became the first Christian album to top that chart in 15 years.

‘Speak Life’ Gets a Visual Voice

The video follows the same idea as the song: people carry more than we can see, and the words we choose can change the direction of a moment.

Rather than building everything around performance footage, the video focuses on everyday interactions and the effect one person can have on another.

That approach fits a song whose message is less about sounding inspirational and more about actually doing something with the words coming out of your mouth.

Another Chapter From Eye on It

TobyMac wrote “Speak Life” with Jamie Moore and Ryan Stevenson. The song became one of the album’s major singles and reached No. 1 at Christian radio before the video arrived.

The new visual gives the track another push nearly a year and a half after Eye on It first arrived.

Eye on It is available through Apple Music and the iTunes Store.
