Tundra Rebuilds Its Past on ‘Eternal: Eclipse’

Tundra will revisit its past while pushing further into metalcore and deathcore on Eternal: Eclipse, a five-song EP arriving Nov. 27 through Rottweiler Records.

The project combines one new song, two rebuilt Tundra tracks and covers of Linkin Park and Evanescence. Together, the recordings offer more than a collection of leftovers between albums.

Tundra Rebuilds Two Songs From Its Catalog

“Vampires” opens the EP as its only completely new Tundra song. Distorted synthesizers add tension beneath heavy riffs, grooves and Morgan’s increasingly desperate vocals.

The band then returns to “Corruption,” which first appeared on its independently released 2020 album, Wastelands. Tundra recorded the song again with a heavier arrangement and a more forceful production.

“Undead” receives a similar reconstruction. The original appeared on Tundra’s 2025 album, Eternal, the band’s first full-length release through Rottweiler Records.

The new version gives the song a darker and more mechanical character. Uneven riffs, thick low-end production and an uneasy atmosphere turn it into one of the EP’s most imposing tracks.

Linkin Park and Evanescence Enter the Mix

The remaining songs draw from two major influences outside Tundra’s catalog. The band transforms Linkin Park’s “Lying From You” into a heavier deathcore track without losing the nervous energy of the original.

Tundra also covers Evanescence’s “Haunted.” Rather than burying its melody beneath breakdowns, the band keeps the song’s melancholy core and surrounds it with greater weight.

That balance helps the two covers fit beside Tundra’s original material. They do not feel like unrelated bonus tracks added to fill space. Instead, each one reveals something about the band’s mix of melody, industrial texture and physical heaviness.

Daniel Keebler McKay mastered the EP. His previous credits include Voluntary Mortification and Cleansing of the Temple.

Tundra formed in Topeka, Kansas, in 2019. The current lineup features Morgan on vocals, Steven on bass, Patrick on guitar and Seth on drums.
