For Today is giving listeners an early chance to hear Fight the Silence before Razor & Tie releases the album Feb. 4.
The 12-song project continues the Iowa metalcore band’s heavy approach. It also puts a direct focus on human trafficking and other forms of injustice.
That theme is clearest in the title track. For Today partnered with the A21 Campaign, which works to fight human trafficking and support survivors.
Fight the Silence Supports the A21 Campaign
The band tied the album to its support of A21. The release gives For Today another way to draw attention to trafficking and the work being done to fight it.
The band released the title track last fall with a music video focused on the issue. For Today also committed proceeds from the project to support the campaign’s work.
Fight the Silence includes 12 tracks and follows the band’s 2012 album, Immortal. Will Putney produced the new record.
For Today Takes Fight the Silence on Tour
For Today is also in the middle of the Fight the Silence album release tour.
Like Moths to Flames, Stray From the Path, The Plot in You and Fit for a King are joining the band on the road.
The tour continues tonight in Mesa, Arizona. From there, it moves through Denver, Des Moines, St. Louis, Columbus, Toronto, Montreal and several other cities through the end of February.
Fight the Silence will be released Feb. 4 through Razor & Tie. It is available through Apple Music and the iTunes Store.
