Alabama will release Angels Among Us: Hymns & Gospel Favorites: Deluxe Edition on Sept. 8 through Cracker Barrel Old Country Store.
Cracker Barrel will sell the expanded album at all 632 of its locations and through its website. Select digital retailers will also carry the digital edition.
Three Bonus Tracks Set the Deluxe Edition Apart
The deluxe edition includes three bonus tracks that do not appear on the standard version. Gaither Music Group plans to release that edition later in September.
“Alabama’s music is timeless and a perfect fit for Cracker Barrel,” marketing manager Julie Craig said. “We know our guests will enjoy hearing their versions of these classic gospel songs.”
The partnership also puts the album in a place the band already associates with its audience.
“We know our fans enjoy eating at Cracker Barrel, just like we do,” Alabama members Jeff Cook, Teddy Gentry and Randy Owen said in a joint statement. “We are excited to have our new gospel album available where so many of our fans eat after church on Sunday.”
Alabama Adds Another Chapter to Its Catalog
Alabama has sold more than 75 million albums and singles and recorded 43 No. 1 songs. The Country Music Hall of Fame inducted the group, which also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The band has won two Grammy Awards, 20 American Music Awards, nine CMA Awards and 17 ACM Awards.
Alabama won CMA entertainer of the year three straight times from 1982 through 1984. The group also won ACM entertainer of the year five consecutive times from 1981 through 1985.
The ACM named Alabama artist of the decade in 1988. The organization later honored the group with the Cliffie Stone Pioneer Award in 2002 and a 40th Anniversary Milestone Award in 2005.
Cracker Barrel Continues Its Exclusive Music Program
Angels Among Us: Hymns & Gospel Favorites: Deluxe Edition continues Cracker Barrel’s exclusive music program. Since 2005, the company has released projects from artists working in country, gospel and bluegrass.
Several of those releases debuted near the top of Billboard charts, including Top Country Albums, Top Contemporary Christian Albums, Top Bluegrass Albums and Top DVD Music Videos.
Angels Among Us: Hymns & Gospel Favorites: Deluxe Edition will be available Sept. 8 at Cracker Barrel locations, through the company’s website and from select digital retailers.
