Daryl Mosley is drawing a line around what matters on his new single, “I Won’t Drink To That.”
Released Aug. 28 through Pinecastle Records, the song continues Mosley’s habit of finding larger ideas inside ordinary life. This time, the message is simple: some things are worth celebrating, and some are not.
Mosley wrote the song himself and delivers it in the laid-back baritone that has become central to his catalog.
‘I Won’t Drink To That’ Keeps the Story Close to Home
The single fits naturally with Mosley’s long-running focus on small-town life, faith, family and everyday choices.
Instead of building the song around a dramatic story, he keeps the idea conversational. The result feels less like a declaration from a stage and more like something said across a table.
Musically, “I Won’t Drink To That” stays rooted in bluegrass while also reaching toward Americana radio.
Mosley handles lead vocals and bass. Danny Roberts plays mandolin, while Jaelee Roberts adds harmony vocals. Jamie Harper plays fiddle, Tony Wray handles guitar and Justin Moses contributes dobro.
Together, the players give the song enough drive to keep the message moving without overwhelming Mosley’s storytelling.
The Single Leads Into ‘Little Moments’
“I Won’t Drink To That” is the third advance release from Mosley’s upcoming album, Little Moments, due Sept. 18 through Pinecastle Records.
It follows “She Knew It All” and “One Screen Movie House.”
The 10-song album continues the same approach Mosley has built much of his career around: ordinary people, familiar places and details that reveal something larger.
Mosley wrote or co-wrote every song on the project. He wrote nine tracks alone, while the title song was co-written with Rick Lang.

Mosley Keeps Building on a Long Songwriting Career
Mosley has spent more than three decades writing and performing bluegrass music.
Before his solo career, he performed with New Tradition, The Osborne Brothers and The Farm Hands. His songwriting catalog includes more than 20 No. 1 songs, according to Pinecastle Records.
Still, “I Won’t Drink To That” does not depend on résumé or awards to work.
Like much of Mosley’s strongest material, the song starts with something familiar and lets the meaning emerge from there.
