Syntax Creative is offering free coaching services to its artists, songwriters and musicians through a new partnership with Reality Co. Nashville.
The Syntax Creative artist coaching program covers mental health, trauma, addiction, recovery, life coaching and temperament. Syntax clients can use the service at no cost, although Reality Co. accepts optional donations.
“Finances should never be a barrier to receiving help,” Syntax Creative CEO Timothy J. Trudeau said. “That’s the heart behind this partnership.”
Clients who want to participate can contact the Syntax team for an introduction to Reality Co. Sessions are available by phone, video conference or in person at Syntax Creative’s offices in Franklin, Tennessee.
Reality Co. manages the sessions independently. Conversations between participants and its coaching team also remain confidential from Syntax Creative.
Support Beyond the Music Business
The program provides certified coaching rather than clinical diagnosis, psychotherapy or treatment from a licensed medical provider. Its purpose is to give people in the creative community another source of practical and personal support.
Reality Co. founder Phil Covert said artists often face personal and professional pressures that can become difficult to manage without help.
“We’ve seen firsthand the challenges that artists face in their personal and professional lives,” Covert said. “This partnership allows us to meet them where they are and provide meaningful, transformative support.”
The partnership follows a mental health panel that Syntax Creative and Reality Co. hosted during Dove Awards week. The discussion brought together specialists and people with firsthand experience navigating mental health challenges.
“The panel sparked conversations that need to happen,” Covert said. “We hope this partnership continues that momentum and shows artists they’re not alone.”
For Syntax Creative, the program extends its relationship with clients beyond distributing and marketing their music.
