Papa San has released the music video for “Step Up,” featuring Da’ T.R.U.T.H., from his new album, One Blood.
The song opens the 13-track project and was produced by Tyshane Thompson of 808xEliTE. The video also includes a cameo from Thompson.
“Step Up” arrives during a strong week for Papa San. One Blood recently reached No. 1 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, giving him the highest chart position of his career at the time.
The album also reached No. 9 on Billboard’s Gospel Albums chart after topping the iTunes Reggae albums chart in the U.S. and several other countries.
“Step Up” Leads One Blood
“Step Up” pairs Papa San’s dancehall delivery with Da’ T.R.U.T.H. over Tyshane’s production. The collaboration serves as the opening statement for an album that moves between reggae, gospel and hip-hop.
One Blood also features Lecrae, Fred Hammond, Stitchie, Israel Houghton, DJ Nicholas, Sherwin Gardner and others.
King Kulture recently premiered “Radio” featuring Lecrae, another song from the album.
